River Stone Gallery specializes in functional American art and fine hand-crafts. It features an extensive selection of sterling silver jewelry. Much of the jewelry is set with semi-precious stones such as amethyst, moonstone, turquoise and a unique selection of distinct stones. New for this year is sterling silver jewelry set with dichroic glass. Dichroic glass is kiln-fired glass infused with titanium and other metals to produce vibrant colors. Also featured are designs by Tabra, Marianna Richard, Boma, and glass bead maker Mary McMinn of Williamsport. Luann Gilliland of Bloomsburg creates beaded jewelry, sun catchers made with Swarovski Austrian crystals. there is an extensive selection of beads for those who wish to create their own jewelry.

    Bill Wise is proudly featured as Bloomsburg's only blown glass artisan. He creates one of a kind functional art glass such as vases, bowls, ornamental fruit, and paperweights. Bill also creates unique stained glass window hangings and installations.

    The gallery features many lines of functional pottery in porcelain or stoneware. Each line has it own individual style of mugs, bowls, chip and dip platters, dinnerware, vases, and pitchers. Long-time Millville resident Sue Grace makes whimsical hand built piggy banks and porcelain dinnerware painted with violets.

Other functional items are also available in wood or metal. River Stone Gallery carries wooden cutting boards, Pennsylvania cherry wooden spoons and picture frames. There are puzzle boxes and Heartwood secret boxes that are sure to challenge even the quickest of minds. New for this year is pewter designer Patrick Meyers, who creates a beautiful line of wine glasses, wine corks, candlesticks, and trivets. Local metalworker Tim Phillips of Northumberland creates his own unique style of boxes, garden art, and wall hangings

    Two other local artisans featured in the store are James Evans and Barry Knorr. Evans of Waxen Candles in Mifflinville, creates beautiful hand dipped candles available in an array of color palettes. Knorr, of Numedia, is a textile artist who dyes and spins his own yarn. he then weaves the yarn into beautiful scarves, towels, blankets, and table runners. New for this year are the stunning lamps by A.E. Jennings of Brooklyn, New York. She mounts her original photographs on photo vellum and constructs floor or table lamps.

    River Stone Gallery also offers a full line of stationary, greeting cards, and journals. New for this year is a beautiful line of embossed leather journals, checkbook covers, business card holders, and wallets.

    River Stone gallery began it's life in Bloomsburg, Pa as Grace Pottery, a unique shop that is a familiar sight in down-town. After working in the gallery for ten months, Megan Jones became the new proprietor in November 2002. She and her staff have spent the last year expanding lines, improving customer service and making River Stone Gallery a place people seek out for unique gifts and one of a kind items to wear or decorate their home.
